How do you avoid calling the wrong parent?
Lyceum reads contact records and permissions directly from your MIS. Each child has a contact policy that specifies who may be contacted, in what order, and for what categories of information. Court orders and do-not-contact flags are enforced automatically.
Do you leave voicemails about incidents or safeguarding?
No. Voicemail mode delivers a minimal, safe message—"Please call the school"—without pupil details. Shared phone numbers and mobile numbers are treated with extra caution.
Is Lyceum allowed to "make things up"?
No. The AI uses structured, template-driven dialogue flows. It classifies and summarises information but never improvises facts, gives advice, or speculates about a child's situation.
What data do you store? Do you keep audio?
We store structured event logs (who was called, when, outcome) and transcripts. Raw audio is deleted after transcription unless you opt in to longer retention. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Do you train AI on our data?
No. We do not use customer data to train foundation models. Data is processed only to provide the service, and we use contractual controls with processors to prohibit training on your data.
Does Lyceum replace our MIS?
No. Your MIS remains your system of record. Lyceum reads what it needs (contacts, attendance codes, permissions) and writes outcomes back (delivery status, responses, incident summaries) with a full audit trail.
What happens if a parent discloses safeguarding info out of hours?
The agent does not handle live safeguarding disclosures. If a parent raises a concern, the call is flagged for immediate staff follow-up. We provide clear escalation paths and handover procedures as part of onboarding.
